Sledding at Muottas Muragl

If you’re looking to shift up two gears instead of down one on our mountain, you should hit our toboggan run. Spanning over 4 kilometers, the run features 20 tricky turns and a 718-meter descent from the mountain station down into the valley—a true highlight of sledding in the Engadin. The run is rightly considered one of the fastest sledding runs in the Engadin. Before the adventure begins, the historic funicular will take you comfortably to the starting point at 2,456 meters above sea level, where a varied descent awaits with plenty of fun on the curves and impressive views of the winter mountain landscape.

Sleds can be rented at the valley station; advance reservations are not available. Due to the challenging and fast-paced course, the sled run is not suitable for beginners or young children. Helmets, appropriate winter clothing, and sturdy shoes with good traction are required.

Hours of OperationDepending on snow conditions, the Muottas Muragl toboggan run is open daily from December through March, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Safety FirstSafety Instructions & Rules of Conduct

Appropriate winter clothing and sturdy footwear with good traction are required for sledding; ski boots are not suitable. Sled responsibly, within your own skill level, and remain seated throughout the ride. Sleds must not be tied together; you may only stop at the designated stopping areas. Plastic sleds, racing sleds, toboggans, and bobsleds are not permitted. In the event of an accident, please contact the SOS service at the Punt Muragl valley station at +41 81 842 65 89.
